Ahhhh, it's fresh music, aching to be heard! And these guys and one gal really can play. I call them a brand-new band for the new millennium. After watching the amazing growth of Mid Nite Circus over the past year, I've come to the conclusion that nothing's going to stop them.
I felt that the music was real. Real music perpetuates music. The test is if you can keep listening to it. I just had to break out my horn and play along on my second listen. I was wondering if Mid Nite Circus needs some horn players?
With bands jockeying for position just to get heard these days, you have to pay close attention to those that grab your imagination. Mid Nite Circus, eclectic, rootsy, and raw, does just that. Their music is cared for, with every note intelligently handled, and it clearly springs from an inspired place.
